Working in 1:100, Scale model of State house and proposed site. This exercise also allowed me to establish the position of relocation of the State House on the site.
Working in the major dips, ridges and main contours really helped as these are important aspects within the site I would like to keep, fitting the house within these in the best possible manner.
Still taking into consideration important external factors of north facing direction, sun rising and setting, main wind direction etc.
Working in this scale made the house and site more of an object, being a smaller scale. Working between the 1:25 and 1:100 models has been very interesting in how I negotiate and interact with the model.
