Recycled Meridian Billboard Goodie Bags for Air New Zealand Fashion Week
Found a way to reuse billboard material to lessen impact on the environment. They then filled these goodie bags with products from businesses that shared their sustainable business practices.

Earth Hour
Starfish was in great support of 'Earth Hour' where towns and cities throughout NZ would turn off their lights for one hour to send a powerful message that the people of the world do care about the future of the planet. Starfish then presented NZ's results of this event to Parliament in order to take the Earth hour message to them. As an Earth hour celebratory presentation to Parliament and NZ, One hundred people gathered in front of parliament as a human formation of the Earth Hour 60 Logo.

World Envrionmental Day
On World Environment Day Starfish joined Project Crimson, Meridian, WCC and some local schools in a mass planting of native trees in Wellington.

The Big Starfish Exchange
Starfish garments are created with the intention that they will be loved for years to come – not thrown out next season. However Starfish did acknowledge that sometimes our tastes and body change, and sometimes you just need a bit of a refresh so they came up with the concept of the the big Starfish Exchange. It works if you have a past season Starfish or Laurie Foon garment hanging in your wardrobe that you havent worn for a while you are able to bring it in and get a 50% discount on a original retail price of a piece from the current collection.
This creates a really interesting form of exchange, uncommon in retail society these days.

Electrolux 'vacs-from-the-sea'
Starfish are partnered up with Electrolux to create a design for their ‘vacs-from-the-sea’ awareness campaign in which they use plastic washed up on our shores to create limited edition vacuums.
Plastic is a material with many advantages. But when plastic ends up in the wrong place it becomes a problem. This is a great vehicle to highlight the issue while also communicating that conscious consumer choices can be integrated in to all aspects of our lives.
