Extension of thought

Hands

I have used video as an exploration for the movements of our hands and arms as an 'EXTENSION OF THOUGHT'.  

In the first video I have over-layed the hand movements of two people having in a conversation - hand gestures and a piece of video in a retail environment where I have attached the camera to my hand. 

When people are engaged in a conversation hand gestures are often used subconsciously. They help the participant express themselves. I refer to them as an extension of thought as they are reacting and moving to thought process occurring. They are a reaction to a further expression to express a thought or idea.

In the retail environment, I attached a camera to my hand to gain a different understand of the importance of hands their movements and how they help us engage with the space and product. They are the sense and part of the body that engages with the product and therefore could be described as a facilitator in mediating thoughts with the space and product and how we negotiate or interact with them.
